Methodist Health System Named One of the Healthiest Employers in North Texas
The Dallas Business Journal recently honored Methodist Health System as one of the Healthiest Employers in North Texas for its efforts to promote wellness and healthy living to its employees.
“Our goal is not only to be one of the healthiest health systems in North Texas, but to become one of the healthiest health systems in America by 2016,” said Stephen L. Mansfield, Ph.D., FACHE, President and CEO of Methodist Health System. “Methodist’s mission is to improve and save lives. Obviously we infer the lives of patients in that statement, but at Methodist we hold ourselves accountable for extending that mission to our employees as well.”

15 Methodist Health System Nurses Honored for D Magazine’s Excellence in Nursing Awards
The March edition of D Magazine features fifteen Methodist Health System nurses honored in the magazine’s second annual Nursing in Excellence Awards program. Four of the 21 nurses chosen for special recognition are Methodist Health System nurses and include: Methodist Dallas Medical Center Director of Nursing Women’s and Children’s Services Pamala Gessling, MBA, BSN, RNC-OB, NEA-BC in the Women’s Health category; Methodist Dallas Medical Center Nurse Manager for Neuro Critical Care Kathleen Andrews, RN, BSN, in the Intensive Care category; Methodist Mansfield Medical Center CNO Jeanne Reeves, RN, BSN, MS in the Nursing Administration category, and Methodist Mansfield Medical Center Director of Surgical Acute and Clinical Recognition Ulondia Lee, RN, MSN, in the Internal Medicine category.
