Methodist Health System Names Deanna Kenard SVP of Human Resources

New HR leader to join health system Oct. 17

Methodist Health System announces that Deanna Kenard will join its senior leadership team on Oct. 17 as senior vice president of human resources.  In this role, Kenard will serve as Methodist’s lead executive responsible for strategic transformational leadership, policy development, and directing all HR activities including recruitment, employee relations and satisfaction, compensation, benefits, leadership training and development, and employee health services.

A graduate of California State University in Long Beach, California with a Masters of Public Administration in Human Resources Management, she also holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the University of California at Berkeley. Prior to joining Methodist, Kenard worked in the field of healthcare and arts/entertainment management in progressively responsible roles over the past 22 years, most recently with Catholic Healthcare West in San Francisco as VP in workforce, learning and organization development, and with in San Diego as SVP Human Resources. Prior to that, she served as VP Human Resources with in Costa Mesa; VP HR/Administration with Cablevision Systems Corp. in Cleveland, Ohio; and as HR director and employee relations manager with Baxter Healthcare Corp. in Deerfield, Illinois.
