Come to our Hire Power Event, Thursday, October 26, 8 a.m. – noon.
Methodist Charlton Medical Center, 3500 W. Wheatland Road, Dallas, TX 75237
When it comes to our brand-new emergency department (ED) at Methodist Charlton Medical Center, we have a lot to brag about. It’s a $71 million, state-of-the-art facility with 40,000 square feet of space and 70 beds. The space is absolutely amazing and well equipped with the latest in healthcare technology, and the hospital is Joint Commission accredited and Magnet® designated. We are seeking highly skilled ED and critical care registered nurses to join our team, which is why we’re hosting our RN Hire Power event on October 26. We’ll have in-person interviews and extend contingent job offers on the spot!
Excellence, compassion, leadership. All here. All the time.
At Methodist Charlton, we have a reputation for promoting excellence in healthcare. Our hospital has experienced leaders and highly skilled nurses, but what’s so special about them is that they’re incredibly compassionate with their patients. These professionals have had opportunities to work at other organizations, but they prefer working here. In fact, we have quite a few boomerang employees, those who have left Methodist Charlton but come back. Moreover, they say that what brings them back are the same things that I admire, the excellence and compassion.
Some organizations place profit over people. I’ve witnessed at Methodist Charlton that we prioritize our people and do what is right and necessary.
Our president is a nurse! What more can I say?
When I considered joining Methodist Charlton, I had the opportunity to meet with our president, Fran Laukaitis, MHA, BSN, RN, FACHE, who, by the way, started her career as a bedside nurse and was promoted into her position. Fran shared her vision to not only hire the right people but also to make sure they are treated well.
This is so important because emergency medicine is incredibly fast paced. We make it a priority to take care of our people so that they can take care of our patients. Emergency medicine requires an RN to be fast, diligent, and accurate. But most of all, you have to have a healing hand and healing heart. This is what sets Methodist Charlton apart.
Our greatest investment? People.
Our hospital is committed to investing in our people. And that includes investing in education and career growth. You’re not stagnant here. Many of our RNs started as patient care technicians or nursing assistants and are now bedside nurses or nurse leaders. We have scholarships available to help you achieve your educational and career goals. The Methodist Charlton scholarship pays 100 percent of tuition and books plus a stipend to earn an associate degree in nursing. If you have an associate degree and you want to go for a Bachelor of Science in nursing, Methodist Heath System will also pay for that 100 percent.
Diversity. It’s how we operate.
If you care about diversity, our ED excels in that. You’ll find that we’re diverse in profession, background, and experience. I believe that the level of diversity here is deeply appreciated and valued.
I’m really looking forward to meeting people who are interested in learning more about Methodist Charlton. I’m excited to meet these new faces and fresh talent. If you’re reading this and you’re a nurse, I can’t wait to see you at our RN Hire Power Event on the 26th.
At Methodist Health System, our goal is to find talented nurses who have a passion for emergency medicine, believe in treating patients like people instead of cases, and love being part of a team.
