In 1927, we were simply Dallas Methodist Hospital — a nonprofit community hospital founded by Methodist ministers and civic leaders — in the heart of our city’s underserved neighborhoods.
Today, Methodist Health System has a network of 13 hospitals (through ownership and affiliation) and dozens of clinics located throughout the region. Our service area stretches from Dallas to Mansfield and Celina to Waxahachie, covering a population of more than a million.
Our Vision
We were created as a healing ministry, and healing is still our calling. From our volunteers greeting people with a smile to our clinicians caring for our patients, we’ve always been deeply committed to our community’s health. That commitment keeps us on the forefront of medicine.
Methodist Dallas and Methodist Charlton Medical Centers are among Texas’ leading teaching and referral hospitals. We are known for our many specialty centers, including our long-standing organ transplant program for adult liver, kidney, and pancreas. We are also a founding member and sponsor of the CareFlite air and ground ambulance system.
Our Culture
At Methodist Health System, we respect each other, support each other, and even play softball together. Most of all, we collaborate to be the best caregivers possible.
In our cooperative, friendly workplace, the contribution of every person matters. That’s why our leadership listens to you and welcomes your voice in process initiatives. If you thrive in this kind of environment, Methodist will be more than a place to work. It will be a place that inspires you to reach your full potential. And inspire others.
We are proud to be recognized for excellence in patient care and innovation. Our hospitals and teams have earned prestigious awards, including high rankings from U.S. News & World Report. We’ve also been acknowledged for outstanding patient safety and leadership by numerous national organizations, reaffirming our commitment to delivering top-tier care.
At Methodist Health System, we take our responsibility to our communities’ health very seriously. That’s why our employees reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. We have a deep commitment to diversity in all its forms — ethnic, cultural, racial, religious, and gender. Our spirit of inclusiveness keeps our employees more engaged and satisfied, and it strengthens our relationship with our community.
Offering a comprehensive and competitive benefits package is one way that Methodist Health System recognizes your contribution to the success of our organization. In addition to medical, dental, and vision benefits, Methodist offers many lifestyle benefits, retirement savings, and PTO benefits to give you peace of mind and achieve the best overall health possible.
